In the United Kingdom, the average weather temperature ranges from 9 to 18 degrees Celsius which is very cold. The cold nature of the weather implies that people have to take measures to keep warm including wearing warm clothing as well as boiler and heating installation in homes and offices. Apart from installing the boiler and heater, there is the need to ensure constant maintenance of the system towards ensuring that it does not suddenly stop working and the inhabitants of the house or office exposed to harsh weather conditions. Just Terrible Service. First boiler service wasn’t really a service, just an inspection. The engineer switched off the boiler and left it off without telling us. When boiler developed a leak, engineer turned up late. Said he needed to order a spare. We never saw him again. 5 calls to Hometree over 6 days. Still no new engineer or any sign of a fix. Just awful.
Do not touch these cowboys with a bargepole! We had a simple faulty syphon in a toilet cistern. Over a period of 4 weeks the first Plumber did not even lift the cistern lid to diagnose the problem and then did not report his findings to HQ. So we waited a week. The second guy said - you need a new syphon, but took no details of the part required. The third plumber never made the appointment. The last man said to replace the syphon we needed the toilet bowl and cistern removing, this may crack the cistern (which we would have to replace) and damage all the ceramic tiles (again our cost to replace.) Basically he wanted to trash our £6k bathroom! We got a local plumber to look at the issue. He removed the syphon in ONE minute, cleaned it and said it would be likely OK. If not he can replace it, including parts for £80!!! This is not the first problem with this company, in our first - and final - year with them, but it is the one that took the biscuit.
