I won't be using Breakfree again — they changed the dates of my holiday and then held on to my deposit. I booked a week in France back in March and paid a deposit straight away. My first impression was that their site looked professional and straightforward. At first the confirmation email looked fine, correct dates and all, so I relaxed. Then Eurocamp, who run the holiday for them, altered the booking to later dates. They even tried to levy cancellation fees, which felt unfair given Breakfree's confirmation. After a lot of messages and chasing, Breakfree said the deposit would be refunded. That was ten days ago and I still haven't seen the money. Contact is awkward; there's no direct phone number on the site so it's all via the message box and it drags on. Small bits of helpfulness, but on the whole it's slow and frustrating. I wouldn't risk booking another important trip with them.
Only one left — and silence
My screen flashed "only 1 left" and that odd little panic kicked in. It was a weekday afternoon when I tried to book a short caravan break. The site itself was straightforward. Payment wouldn't go through though, so I rang. A man took the call and said it might be a system hitch, that he'd check and call me back. One and a half hours passed. Nothing. I rang again and this time a woman put me on hold to speak to him and then said he was just about to ring me. Strange. In the end they told me no money had left my account and that nothing could be done over the phone — I had to try again online. I eventually did, later that evening, and got the booking sorted. Staff were polite but a bit disorganised and the confirmation email arrived later than I'd like. Not perfect, but it worked and the price was fair.
Booking online too complicated
We found booking on the website to be way too complicated and were close to giving up. Can you please make the booking form more user-friendly?
Phone booking issues
I recently had a go at booking a holiday on BreakFree Holidays via my phone, but ran into some technical problems while trying to confirm my right address. I got fed up and eventually gave up, and then thought I'd have another go on my computer. Strangely enough, it all went smoothly the first time without any issues. It was a bit frustrating having to switch devices, but at least I managed to make the booking in the end.
Booked holiday, needed to change date
I booked a holiday, but then I had to have surgery. I tried to change the date by calling them, but they refused. They only care about money, it's not fair. Parkdean was much more helpful. I wouldn't recommend booking with them, they're quite clueless. It's frustrating when one person says yes and the other says no, such a waste of time.
Booking holiday
Booking our holiday was a breeze, we'd actually been to this place last year and absolutely loved it. We chose it for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time. It was really good value for money and conveniently located near everything.

The booking was easy and straightforward, and I liked that we knew exactly what we were getting accommodation-wise. But the website could do with a bit of work, it was a bit tricky to get around.
Perfect location, great caravan
The caravan site is in a perfect spot, near the water with amazing views. The caravan was clean, spacious, and our dog loved it too. The only downside was the lack of entertainment during our quiet visit, but we're excited for our next trip.

Booking our holiday through this company was so easy. The website was really simple to use and booking was a piece of cake. The best bit was the price we got - it was so cheap! Booking BreakFree Holidays after a few years
We haven't used BreakFree in ages because we have a caravan, but now that our kids are done with school, we thought it was high time we went back. We've got a holiday booked for May this year and we can't wait to have another fantastic experience with them.
Caravan bookings
I've booked a caravan with this company a few times now, and I have always been really impressed with the places where they're located. They're always in great spots, really clean, and well looked after. The caravans are always in top condition, which makes for a really comfy and enjoyable stay. One thing I've noticed is that they don't offer many discounts, which could make the customer experience even better. Also, I think the price for bringing pets along is a bit high compared to other companies. But overall, the price for the caravans themselves is fair, and the locations are definitely worth it. I've booked with them four times already, and I'm looking forward to doing it again in the future.
Weekend break at Sand le Mere
Just got back from a weekend trip to Sand le Mere, and honestly, it wasn't the best. We got a text saying the pool would be closed all weekend, but when we got there, turns out it was actually open on Sunday! No one told us. The 'gold plus' caravan we stayed in was pretty basic - we were meant to bring our own stuff like towels and toiletries, but we never got told that. The facilities on-site weren't great either. The arcade didn't take cash, the climbing wall was never open, and we couldn't even get to the beach. We ended up driving to Hull or Withernsea for some fun each day because there wasn't much to do on-site. And to top it off, we had to pay for Wifi in the caravan! That's never happened on any of our trips before. But hey, we made the most of it by exploring Hull and Withernsea, so it wasn't all bad.
User-friendly online booking
I've booked with this company a few times now and each time has been really good. The online booking process is simple and trouble-free, which makes it really easy for me to book my holidays without any problems. I've really enjoyed all the trips I've been on with them and I would definitely recommend them to other people.
Torquay trip booked
Recently I booked a holiday to Torquay from the 1st to the 5th of April. Unfortunately, I had to go to the hospital on the 27th of March. I reached out to the company to ask for some help with the cost of the holiday due to my unexpected situation. However, they were not helpful at all and refused to offer any assistance. They simply pointed out that I should have gotten insurance, which is true, but it wasn't something I had planned for in this case. I was really let down by their lack of empathy and understanding, especially since I was travelling with two disabled children. I strongly recommend that others steer clear of this company, as they seem more focused on money than on making sure customers are happy.
