Weekend break at a leisure hotel
Overall, our stay was a bit of a mixed bag. The spa and pool were lovely, the restaurant food was decent, and the entertainment, especially Jenna Lee James, was top-notch. However, we found that the service was hit and miss - some staff were amazing, while others not so much. Our dressing table stool broke and wasn't replaced, despite the safety risk. They did give us a bottle of wine as an apology, but it didn't quite make up for it. Also, there was no porter service when we left, which was annoying. On top of that, we noticed errors on our bill, like being charged for a cancelled excursion. We did eventually get a refund, but it just left us feeling a bit disappointed overall.
Double booking issue
Just a heads up, be careful when booking because sometimes other companies can come in and take over the hotel, which can lead to your booking being canceled and your deposit being lost. I'm actually in a situation right now where my booking is being advertised by another company.
Recent stay highlights.
I was really disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. There weren't enough staff around and some of the amenities I had booked weren't available. The rooms were a bit messy and the pool closed early unless you were on a spa break. To top it off, I couldn't even use the golf range because of a big group of golfers and the golf shop shut at 3pm. It was just one letdown after another.
Stay at Heythrop Park Hotel
We recently spent some time at Heythrop Park Hotel from the 16th to 19th September. The hotel is located in a stunning spot with nice walking paths and even an 18 Hole golf course. But, we did come across some areas that seemed unfinished, and that was a bit frustrating. When we arrived, we had to haul our bags quite a distance before finding out about a buggy service, which we weren't told about. There were no signs mentioning the service either. Our room, SW107, was actually one of the best we've ever stayed in. It even had a lounge area attached, which was perfect for unwinding. Sadly, the towel rail in the bathroom wasn't working, even after we mentioned it three times.
Weekend stay at a hotel
I stayed at a hotel last weekend and I have to say, I wasn't too impressed with my experience. The bathroom had a strange drain-like smell that just wouldn't go away, and the lower seal of the shower screen was pretty dirty, which was a clear sign that the place wasn't as clean as it should be. To make matters worse, I found out that someone else's drinks had been mistakenly charged to my bill. Luckily, I was able to prove that I wasn't even at the hotel when those charges were made, and they were taken off my bill. It's worrying that such mistakes can happen, so I recommend that other guests double-check their bills. What really got to me though, was that the hotel didn't even bother to contact me about these issues. It just goes to show that they don't really care about making sure their guests are happy.
Vouchers for hotels
I wouldn't recommend purchasing vouchers for hotels. I've been waiting for 7 days now and I still haven't received any confirmation or updates. I don't have any idea about who, when, or even if my delivery is on its way. I've sent two emails but haven't received any response. There are no contact details available on the website, only a chatbot that hasn't connected me to a real human even after 9 hours of waiting.
Stay at Bembridge Isle of White
Oh my goodness, I just can't believe how some people don't respect blue badges! It's so frustrating as my wife and I have blue badges but we couldn't find parking spots because others had taken them. It's really irritating and no one seemed to care at all. And let's not even get started on people parking on double yellow lines! It's just not right, guys. Honestly, if you don't have a disability, please don't park in those spaces.
Stay at a hotel
Hey, so I recently stayed at this hotel, yeah? It was honestly not good at all. The room hadn't even been cleaned properly and the bed was all messy, you know what I mean? Plus, there wasn't even any soap or essentials in the bathroom which is just disgusting. And oh my, the food was such a let-down - both dinner and breakfast felt like something you'd find at a mediocre restaurant. Also, the coffee was always cold because they served it in freezing cups, like why do that? And having to go outside to access the SPA and Gym was really inconvenient. The receptionists were also quite rude and didn't even bother greeting us properly. Overall, just not a pleasant experience, you know?
Recent stay at a holiday spot
I recently went on a holiday with my family. We found a good deal with a discount, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out well. We got placed in a noisy part of the dining area, the promised pampering got cancelled because there weren't enough staff, and the prices for drinks were really high. The breakfast was also disappointing, with food that was dry and lacked flavour. I'll definitely be more careful when booking special deals in the future.
Unwanted marketing mails
I have been in touch with the company numerous times to ask them to stop sending me marketing mail that's actually meant for someone who doesn't even live here. They said they would fix it, but I'm still getting the same annoying mail. It's really frustrating and it feels like they're not listening to what I've asked for as a customer.
Weekend stay feedback
We had a brilliant weekend stay! The entertainment team was absolutely fantastic and the food was delicious. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Weekend stay at a leisure hotel
During my recent stay at the leisure hotel, things didn't quite go as planned. I faced a few problems like a mix-up with my booking, not getting the accommodation I needed because of my limited mobility, and being bothered by the loud entertainment in the lounge. Even though the room was nicely decorated and the food was great, the whole experience was a let-down.
Hotel booking disappointment
I'm really sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with your hotel booking at Heythrop Park. It's really not right that Warner Leisure Hotels didn't let you know sooner that they had to cancel your holiday because of safety worries with the building. And the fact that they didn't cancel your friends' bookings either just makes it even worse. Heythrop Park definitely shouldn't have opened until all the rooms were finished and safe for people to stay in. The way Warner Leisure Hotels handled the situation is worrying, and it's clear that it has affected how you see the brand.
Stay at the hotel
Oh my goodness, when we got to the hotel it was so hectic! Everyone was rushing around trying to sort out their keys and bags - it was total chaos! And don't even get me started on the dining experience...no ice for water, no ice cream or cheese for dessert, and the Sirloin steaks were really tough. The service was incredibly slow as well. Oh, and breakfast was a nightmare - the bacon was disgusting, not even cooked properly! And as if that wasn't bad enough, our room hadn't been cleaned properly the whole time we were there. We decided to leave early even though we had paid for a longer stay. What an absolute disaster!
Stay disappointment
The room I stayed in wasn't great considering how much I paid. It wasn't very clean, there were stains on the bathroom tiles, hairs left in the shower, and the carpet definitely needed a good vacuum. On top of that, there was damage to the wardrobe door. I told Reception about it a few times, but the room service didn't fix anything. The room just wasn't up to the standard of other hotels I've stayed in before. Even though I paid £800 for 3 nights, I was left feeling pretty frustrated. Finally, a supervisor looked into part of the issue, but the cleaning problem was mostly ignored. I recall one time when a housekeeping staff member came, but she worked very quickly and didn't really address the issues I had raised.
Stayed at a fancy place
I've just come back from this really cool hotel and it was amazing! The room was so lovely, the entertainment was great, and the food was really delicious. The only downside was that there weren't enough staff. It took ages for them to bring our food and clear the tables. They kept saying they were short on staff. Also, if you struggle with getting around, there aren't many lifts and there are loads of stairs.
Weekend getaway
I stayed at a hotel recently for a weekend break and, although it was nice and the food was good, it didn't quite meet the same standards as other places I've been to. The staff seemed overworked and there weren't many activities to do during the day. The billing system was a bit of a mess too. Overall, I did enjoy my stay but they really need to improve if they want to compete with places like Sinah Warren.
Stay at a Warner Leisure Hotel
The seating was terrible, stuck in a corner by a fire extinguisher which made it hard to see the stage and just uncomfortable. On top of that, there wasn't much food to choose from and activities like laser gun shooting and pool aerobics were missing. The apartment was a let-down too, with sweets on the floor, makeup on the pillows from the last guests, and mould on the skirting boards. All in all, the whole experience at the Premium Corton location for the 70s weekend from the 8th to the 11th of March was a bit of a let-down.
four night break
As part of an 80th Birthday present, I was given £250 in Warners Holiday vouchers. Imagine my surprise when booking the holiday to be told that the vouchers could only be redeemed as part of the payment for my stay by returning them to the Head Office, by recorded delivery. When I complained about the additional cost involved (£6 plus) and the inconvenience, I was told that was IT. In other words "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT"
My advice to anyone considering buying Warner Vouchers is DON'T.
Give your loved ones cash and cut out the middleman.4day break
