Stomach bug insurance claim
This insurance company is a complete joke. I unfortunately got sick with a bad stomach bug right before my trip to Iceland for my birthday. Even though I gave them all the documents they needed, now they want my whole medical history from the last two years. What a pain! I'm definitely going to escalate this and won't be using this company again.
Travel insurance
Don't bother with that travel insurance, it's just not worth it at all. The people I spoke to were so clueless and didn't seem to have a clue about the basic terms and conditions. It was really annoying and felt like I was talking to someone who knew nothing about insurance. If you need proper coverage for anything more than a small accident, I'd recommend finding insurance somewhere else. It's best to avoid the hassle and save yourself some time.
Hotel stay disappointment
Our experience with Jet2 wasn't great. We thought we had booked a 4-star hotel, but it turned out to be in need of some serious care. The staff were a bit hit and miss with how friendly they were, and you could tell the end of the season had taken its toll. The website said there were two restaurants, but when we got there, one had already shut down. The other restaurant served average, repetitive food every night. I got sick while we were there, and found out from another guest that a few others had also fallen ill. Even my husband found pink, undercooked chicken at one meal. Our room, which was meant to be "superior," had a shower that flooded on the first night, and it wasn't too clean either. It was such a shame because we had been really looking forward to our holiday. I wouldn't recommend booking this hotel at all.
Claim taking ages
It feels like I've been waiting for ages, but I still haven't received my money from them! They keep demanding more things from me, and honestly, I'm fed up with it. I injured my leg and had to cancel my holiday, but it seems like they don't even care.
Travel insurance purchase
Hey, just a heads up for anyone thinking about getting travel insurance from this place. If you mention any health problems on their medical questionnaire, be ready to shell out a huge extra fee. I had to pay an extra 50% on top of the original price. Do yourself a favour and check out other insurance choices.
Corfu holiday insurance
I just wanted to talk about how disappointed I am with the customer service from that insurance company. I got insurance for my holiday in Corfu for a week and I had to make a complaint while I was there. I officially complained on 18th October and I've had to chase it up twice since then, but still no reply. The fact that they haven't responded or solved my complaint has really annoyed and let me down.
Recent holiday at Sunshine Stay Apartments
Hey everyone! I've just returned from a fantastic holiday at Sunshine Stay Apartments in Los Gigantes, Tenerife. The apartment was really clean and spacious, and we had a huge balcony where we could relax and take in the view. We've stayed at these apartments several times now and we always have a great time. The pool is amazing and there's even a small pool for the kids. The location is perfect, close to the village, with fantastic restaurants and the bus stop nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and made our stay even better. I definitely recommend staying here!
Poor service experience
I had a really bad experience with that insurance company. When I needed medical help urgently while I was abroad, they didn't help me at all. It felt like they were more focused on not helping me than actually assisting. They kept transferring me to different departments and connecting me with other insurance companies, which just made everything take longer and caused more confusion.
Holiday insurance
I took out holiday insurance with this company, and I have to say, it was an absolute nightmare sorting things out when I needed assistance. The customer service was terrible, and it felt like they had no interest in helping me with my worries whatsoever. It was like speaking to a brick wall, honestly!
Holiday 2024
The staff at the insurance company were amazing - they made sure everything went smoothly from check-in to collecting my luggage at the hotel. Their special assistance team was fantastic, especially for disabled people and their carers. All in all, my holiday was stress-free and hassle-free thanks to them.
Toyota Corolla hire car, reserved seats, disappointed
I was absolutely shocked by Jet 2! I had booked a hire car equivalent to a Toyota Corolla, but they ended up giving me a huge Jeep instead. How on earth is a Jeep even remotely similar to a Corolla? It totally ruined the holiday mood for me! And let's not even talk about the reserved seats that I paid extra for but never got. It took months of constant emailing back and forth with Jet 2 just to get a measly £11 in compensation. It's honestly ridiculous! I'd definitely advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.
Travel insurance purchase
I thought the website was really easy to use and buying travel insurance was a breeze - it was quick and straightforward. I felt like I knew what was happening and felt comfortable. Although I had a little issue with the booking when I got there, overall, I had a good experience and felt like the company had my back.
Avoid this insurance
Please do not use this insurance company. It was a nightmare for my family when my father-in-law passed away unexpectedly the day before our trip. Instead of offering us the support we needed, they decided not to pay the 3k we were owed. They said we hadn't mentioned his heart medication, but they never asked about our relatives' medical history, only our own. Despite providing a letter from the doctor confirming the unexpected nature of his passing, they still refused to pay. We lost out on 3k with no opportunity to appeal. Avoid them at all costs!
Airfare refund delayed
I had an awful experience with this company. It took me a whole year to get a partial refund on my airfare. My claim should have been simple, but they didn't seem to care at all. I definitely won't be using them again.
Travel insurance experience
I was well and truly let down by the travel insurance I got from this company. I bought the insurance before going on a trip, but then had to get medical help urgently while I was away. I had to pay for the treatment and then sent off all the paperwork for my claim. But can you believe it? After waiting for more than four months, they told me my claim was denied. They said my illness was already an ongoing issue, even though it was completely new and unexpected. I ended up paying for everything and feeling really disappointed by the insurance company.

I really regret booking my travel insurance with this company. When I logged in, they redirected me to a different insurance provider's website, and now I can't access my important documents or make any changes to my policy because of all these server errors. The lack of functionality and terrible customer service has really frustrated and disappointed me. I'll definitely be sticking with my trusted insurer for my future trips.
Unsatisfactory customer service
The customer service from this company is really terrible. We prebooked meals for our recent holiday, but were told there was an issue with the supply. When we tried to contact customer services, they said they didn't know about any problems, yet on the plane we found out that our meals were not available. We were offered a different meal that we had to pay for, with the assurance from Jet2 that they would refund us. It has been nearly 10 weeks now and despite many phone calls and emails, we still haven't got our money back. They promised to investigate and call back, but never did. Instead, we kept getting generic responses and were just ignored. It might only be £20.50, but the lack of customer service from this company is really frustrating and disappointing.
Travel Insurance
I'm very unhappy with this insurance company. I had such a good experience before that I gave them a brilliant 5-star review. But now my opinion has totally changed. In the past two months, I've had so many problems with them that I feel really let down and fed up. The service was awful, and I wouldn't suggest them to anyone needing travel insurance. They've shown themselves to be untrustworthy and not reliable at all. I definitely won't be using them again.
Extra legroom seat purchase, hotel complaints, lost EarPods claim denial
I had a terrible experience with my extra legroom seat purchase with this insurance company recently. My wife and I paid for these seats, only to find out they had been changed without letting us know. On top of that, we had a lot of issues at the hotel we were staying in. But the last straw was when I lost one of my Apple EarPods and tried to make a claim. Even though my policy clearly says that personal belongings are covered up to a certain amount, Axa insurance rejected my claim, saying I needed separate gadget insurance. It's ridiculous! They mislead customers by saying electronics must be insured separately, even though the policy is supposed to cover personal items. I tried to sort it out by getting in touch with both Axa and the insurance company, but they just kept blaming each other, leaving me annoyed and out of pocket. This whole thing has been a nightmare, and I won't stop until it's sorted. I'll be taking this further and seeking help from an ombudsman if I have to.
Accommodation drop off experience
The drop-off experience at the Paphinia Apartments in Paphos, Cyprus was really disappointing. When we arrived at Paphos airport, we had to take a coach transfer in the middle of the night, only to be left in a dark back street quite far from where we were supposed to be. The driver didn't really seem bothered, just vaguely pointed and said "down there," which was really frustrating and not helpful at all. It was pretty disheartening to see everyone else being dropped off right at their accommodation while we were left feeling neglected and stuck there. Carrying our heavy luggage for a long walk was tough, especially for two oldies like us. Luckily, we had been to Paphos before and sort of remembered the way to the seafront where our place was located. Eventually, we had to call the customer helpline for help to get into our apartment, as the owners had to send someone to let us in. Without our previous knowledge of the area and the quick help from the UK customer service, it could have been a truly difficult situation for someone unfamiliar with Paphos. Overall, the drop-off arrangements were below par and didn't really show much care for the passengers' convenience and safety.
