Duck/swan food purchase
I bought some duck/swan food that was supposed to have lots of different seeds and pellets in it, but it turned out there was only one type of seed and the ducks and swans weren't keen on the pellets at all. They just pick through them, so it's basically just a fancy bag of bird seed with a label saying it's for ducks. I was really let down by the misleading advertising and the lack of variety in the food.
Bird feeders and nesting boxes
I recently bought some bird feeders and nesting boxes from this company, and I must say, I was really disappointed with the whole experience. I ordered them as a gift for a friend, but the delivery got delayed, and the items only arrived long after they were supposed to. It was a real let-down because the whole point of the gift was kind of lost with the late delivery. The customer service wasn't great either – they didn't really keep me in the loop or offer much help, which left me feeling pretty fed up and unhappy with the whole thing. I reckon I'll have to think twice before buying from them again in the future.
Defender bird feeder 4 port Seed Feeder review
I've recently bought the Defender 4 port seed feeder and on the whole, the quality is decent. However, there's a major issue with the design that pretty much renders it useless. The wire hanger meant to connect to the feeder is badly designed in a number of ways. Firstly, one end of the rod has a hole while the other end has an open notch – initially appearing to be a mistake, but it's actually intentional. Secondly, the hooks on the wire are too short and easily slip out, causing the feeder to fall to the ground. Lastly, the hooks all facing in the same direction rather than opposite ways adds to the insecurity of the hanger attachment. This design flaw has resulted in me spilling half the seed and has made the feeder not fit for purpose. On top of that, the feeder is tricky to take apart and clean, which only adds to the frustration of using it.
Slow dispatch time
The products I ordered took forever to be sent out. They made up some lame excuse about updating their IT system. The products were good quality, but the service was really slow overall.
Woodstone birds nests
I bought some woodstone bird nests from this company not long ago and honestly, I’m really chuffed with how good they are. They look fab and I reckon they’ll hold up better than those plain old wooden nests. The only hiccup was that one of the items turned up all damaged, but their customer service team were dead quick to sort it out and sent me a new part in a jiffy. I was dead pleased with how they handled everything and how fast they fixed the problem. If they ever start selling woodstone insect blocks in more shades, you can bet I’ll be coming back for more.
National Trust defender tube bird seed feeders
The bird seed feeders have a really bad design with the lids and hangers. The hooks all facing the same way just make them so flimsy and likely to fall off, especially when it's windy. The company has been really good with their service and packaging, but I think they should go back to the old hanging wires for a better product that actually works well.
Robin food
I recently bought some Robin food and was a bit gutted when not a single bird or squirrel seemed bothered about the sultanas or other fruits it had in it. I got in touch with customer service to let them know my concerns, but their reply was just so unhelpful, telling me to stick to buying the fruit-free version instead. I tried to explain that there might be a problem with the fruit itself, but they just kept giving me the same unhelpful advice. I even thought about closing my account, but turns out you can only do that through email. As someone who loves feeding wildlife, this whole situation has been really annoying, especially when there are plenty of other suppliers out there, both online and locally. My mates, who are also big on feeding the birds and wildlife, felt just as let down by the lack of care from the company.
National Trust Appollo 2 port bird feeder
I recently bought a National Trust Apollo 2-port bird feeder online because I've had problems with feeders getting blocked up with waste and small seed bits previously. However, this feeder, despite looking like it was made for easy cleaning, turned out to be the opposite. The design had tiny slits that made it very hard to clean out the old seed leftovers. I tried for over thirty minutes to get rid of the mess with a brush and soaking it, but it didn't work. Consequently, the feeder has become unhygienic and hard to look after, which is really disappointing.
Bird feeder purchase
I bought a bird feeder from your company on the internet not long ago. Sadly, I wasn't happy with what I received. The plastic used felt really low quality and didn't seem eco-friendly since it wasn't labelled as recyclable. What's more, the feeder didn't fit on my existing hangers from well-known groups like the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. I was also let down that there wasn't any info about the threads on the website, which made it tricky to figure out if it would work with what I already had.
Feeders and bird seed
My experience with this company was terrible. My order was delayed and mishandled by their courier. When it finally arrived, I found a big box left outside my gate, all open and getting wet in the rain. The seed bag had split open and was soaked through, completely ruined. The feeders were also damaged from rough treatment. The way they shipped my items with no care or thought is just not on. I won't be buying from them again.
Bought two bird feeders
I recently ordered two bird feeders from an online store - one for suet/pellet mealworms and the other for Brussels peanuts. They both seemed like decent products, but when they arrived, I was surprised to find that there were no instructions included to guide me on how to use them.
I attempted to open the feeder for the peanuts by pulling off the lid, but it turned out to be a twist and pull kind of situation, so I accidentally ended up breaking it. After reaching out to the company, they assured me that they would arrange to collect the damaged feeder and send me a replacement. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new one comes with proper instructions this time around!Bird feeders
I can't believe some people are giving this company bad reviews, my experience was really good! I bought 2 bird feeders from their website and they came quickly and were wrapped up well. They've been in my garden for a week now and even survived a storm without getting damaged. The feeders are really well made and strong. Loads of little birds have been using them, which is lovely. All in all, I'm very happy with what I bought.

Birdseed purchase
As a customer of this company, I have to say I'm really disappointed with their sneaky tactics. They say they're Irish but they're actually based in the UK, which feels a bit dodgy. And on top of that, the products take ages to arrive, which just makes everything a proper pain. I feel like I've been tricked into backing a company that doesn't mind lying to its customers.
Recent order feedback
I was pretty happy with my recent order from your company. The delivery was super quick, ordering on a Friday and getting it by Monday was impressive. Everything arrived safe and sound, except for a small problem with the packaging. The cardboard box used for shipping wasn't very strong, it had a hole in the base. And the plastic container of meal worms had split open, letting a few worms escape. But overall, I'm happy with what I got and will definitely be ordering from you again. Cheers!
Bird feeders
I was really let down by the bird feeders I bought recently. Even though they came early, the description said they would stop some birds from getting to the food. But, jackdaws and magpies can still perch on them and eat as they please. It's causing a lot of seed and suet balls to go to waste. I'm not sure how to deal with this problem.
Bird feeder purchase
I bought a bird feeder which turned out to be really rubbish - it broke after just 6 months! I've been trying for 2 months to get a replacement, but their customer service is absolutely dreadful. All I get are useless messages, they never actually help me out. I ended up reporting them to trading standards and the ombudsman. My advice? Don't bother buying from them, they're total scammers!
Christmas present nest box purchase
My wife ordered a nest box as a Christmas present at the end of November. She chose a woodstone one with a 28 mm circular hole, in brown with a black front panel. Sadly, when the order arrived, the black front panel was severely cracked, and the item had split into two pieces. We asked for a replacement front panel, but it arrived white and a different shape to what we ordered, creating a big gap. We called multiple times, and they assured us they would send a new box, but we were left waiting with no update. Despite our efforts, the promised box was not dispatched, and they said they had no more in stock with uncertainty about restocking.
In the end, they offered us a different size and colour, but we decided to get a refund instead. It's important to mention that the website showed the item as in stock. While the website has a nice selection of products, it seems like there is a problem with the stock availability not matching up to the online system.Bird feeders purchase
I was quite impressed with the products this company offers, but my experience with them has been really disappointing. I ordered a couple of bird feeders more than 10 days ago and still haven't heard anything about my order. To make matters worse, I sent them an email to follow up, but they haven't replied, which is making me feel pretty annoyed and overlooked. It's a pity because I really wanted to support a smaller business that seemed to be struggling. But their poor communication and slow service have left me feeling let down.
Mixed service but especially poor delivery & customer service
I've ordered twice from this company. The first was good and I was happy with price, products and availability. The second order, just a week late, the box arrived filthy and stained my carpet, for which I haven't been able to remove, and the products inside were filthy too. I had to wipe down one item and the cloth was filthy after was. I wrote to customer services and they said they would let their courier and warehouse team know but that was it. What about my carpet, and the items, which were to be gifts! I am very disappointed in the inconsistency of service and product quality.
