    Best friend's makeover appointment

    My mate had a fantastic time getting a makeover at this spot in Reading. The makeup artist, Summer, was really friendly and walked us through each step of the makeover. She didn't try to sell us anything, but we couldn't resist buying loads of stuff because we loved it all. It was such a great experience, plus we learned a lot about makeup and skincare.

    I popped into the shop to ask for some advice on eye makeup as I've had a few eye surgeries lately.     The company's delivery service was really impressive. I got helpful texts and calls that kept me updated on when the delivery van would arrive in my rural area. I also liked being able to track the delivery myself, it made me feel more in control. The delivery team of 2 men were quick, polite, and nice, which made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Plus, when I found out some bolts were missing from the product, the customer service team sorted it out quickly and arranged an exchange for the following week. Overall, I was really impressed with how good the service was from this company.

    Faulty coffee machine

    I've been a loyal customer of this shop for a while now because the customer service has always been great. But I recently had a bad experience after buying a faulty coffee machine. It's been three weeks and I still don't have a working appliance. I've tried calling, emailing, and even sending WhatsApp messages to customer service, but I haven't gotten any help. It's really disappointing to feel like my satisfaction as a customer isn't important to them anymore.

    The delivery was delayed by a bit, but the driver gave us a heads-up. When the TV finally arrived, a chap brought it inside and placed it exactly where we asked. He seemed quite rushed to go, but we persuaded him to unpack the box, demonstrate the stand and controllers, and offer us some advice. After tidying up, he left.

    Washing machine purchase and installation

    I bought a new washing machine online and decided to get the installation service too. Ordering it was easy and no fuss. The price was good compared to other shops. The delivery team phoned me to say when they'd arrive and actually turned up when they said they would. They were really professional, nice, and got the job done quickly. They took away the old washing machine, set up the new one, got rid of all the packaging, and made sure the new one worked properly. All in all, it was a brilliant service.

    The team at the store in Milton Keynes are really helpful and friendly! You can always find someone to assist and offer advice, which is great. The bed and furniture department was particularly fantastic - they provided us with some great tips and we left with a new bedstead, sofa, and footstool. Big up to that department for being so awesome!

    My new headphones purchase

    So, I picked up these cool new headphones from this store, and let me tell you, the whole experience was a bit of a nightmare. When I tried to take them back because they weren't working right, they were so unhelpful. They initially said no, but then changed their minds but told me I had to trek to the other side of town. And when I finally got there, they still wouldn't accept them back. It was so frustrating! And those tech guys? The worst! So rude and useless. Definitely avoiding that store in the future, heading straight to the brand store next time!

Living on an island in the UK can sometimes make deliveries tricky, but JL's service was top-notch. Using the click & collect service at my local Waitrose was so handy, and the twice-weekly delivery service for bigger items on a JL truck made everything really easy.

    The quality of products has really gone downhill in recent years, especially when it comes to furniture and home goods. The furniture choices are either very basic or really outdated. Even though they offer free installation with TV purchases, we couldn't use it because the TV mount wasn't suitable for plasterboard walls that are becoming more common. The table we bought had a big gap in the centre, showing the lack of skill in making it. When we contacted customer service to raise our issues, they just ignored us and didn't take us seriously. The lack of response and the way they dismissed our complaints has left us frustrated and disappointed with the whole experience.

    As someone who's worked in IT before, I recently bought a new gadget to replace my old faithful one that's been with me for more than ten years. Even though I could have managed the shift on my own, I thought I'd make use of the Technical Support service they provide.     Wind-Up Garden Parasol.

    I recently bought a Wind-Up Garden Parasol and when I contacted customer service about a dent in the pole, they claimed it was meant to be there. I decided to visit the store to investigate and none of the other parasols had any dents. It seems like they are selling faulty items and passing them off as part of the design. Needless to say, I won't be making any future purchases from them!

    I am writing this on behalf of my mothers. She would give zero if she could

    This all started when my mum ordered a Spirograph as a Christmas gift. The Spirograph box was damaged, however the delivery box was undamaged, there was no delivery note in the box. Therefore the toy had been damaged at source but still sent out in a damaged state.

    She contacted live chat to be informed she needed to print off a form to send it back, before they would send another one out unfortunately she didn’t have the facility to print so the operator agreed to resend a new toy, with a delivery note included so my mum could return the item.

    Sure enough the toy arrive 2 days later, no delivery note including.

    Contacted JL customer services, the first advisor she spoke to couldn’t understand her, and she wasn’t listening either. She told my mum to send it back by adding the order number, her name, address and email.

    What hassle for their error. My mother said forget she would just pay for it. My mother was then past to returns and refunds not sure why. This guy was a bit more with it but couldn’t help, so a waste of time and money on hanging on the phone. He then transferred my mum to the payments department who finally took her payment.
    These operators are in Manila so is it any wonder they don’t understand us.

    My mother tried to make a complaint that is harder than getting blood from a stone. He had no idea what do do it is absolutely ridiculous. My mother was told to escalate it online. But we can’t do that as what no case number. The operator hadn’t even logged the complaint. What a shambles no customer services at all.

    Unbelievable.
