    Booking our holiday with this company was so easy. If we had any questions or worries, their customer service team sorted them out quickly. Emma was brilliant and made sure our seats were reserved just how we liked. Thanks to their excellent customer service, the whole experience was hassle-free and smooth.

    I booked a trip through this company recently and I have to say, I was really disappointed with how it all went down. When I booked, I got a 'booking summary' that made me think everything was sorted. But then they told me I might have to wait up to 72 hours for confirmation. It was all a bit misleading and now I'm not sure if my booking is actually confirmed or not.

    Sorted out new flights in 10 minutes

    I had a bit of a mishap with my flights changing, but luckily Jan from the travel agency came to the rescue! She quickly arranged new flights from a different airport without any hassle. Jan was extremely helpful and really saved the day for my holiday plans. I was really worried about missing out on all the fun, but she fixed everything. Big thanks to Jan!

    Quick booking process, follow-up call, price increase negotiation

    I found it really simple and fast to book my holiday online. But then, I got a call from a member of staff who mentioned that the price had gone up. It was a bit disappointing, but luckily they were able to speak to their manager and sort it out so I didn't have to pay any extra. They sent over all the booking details quickly by email after the call, and everything went smoothly without any problems. In the end, I was really happy with how everything went.

    Lanzarote holiday booking

    I just booked a holiday to Lanzarote through this service. The price they initially quoted was the one I paid, and they gave me all the details I needed. Checking in for my flight was easy. I got in touch with the hotel before arriving to confirm my booking and everything was fine. I'll definitely think about using this service again next time I book a trip.

    Last-minute holiday booking

    I was really excited about booking a last-minute holiday because the prices looked so good at first. But, as I started adding up all the extra charges, I realised the final cost wasn't actually any cheaper than if I'd just booked with a more straightforward company like TUI. To make matters worse, the address they've given me seems to point to a completely different hotel on the map! I'm feeling quite confused now. Fingers crossed it all turns out okay in the end 🤞.

    Flights changed, helpful staff member

    Our flights got changed without us knowing, which was a bit of a bummer! We were so stressed about our holiday plans, but luckily we got in touch with this really lovely lady who was a huge help. She arranged new flights for us and even made sure we could sit together on the plane. It felt like a little miracle!

    I recently booked a holiday online and it went really well. Booking was easy peasy, and then a lovely agent gave me a call the next day to finalise everything. She made sure all the details were correct and even helped sort out a problem I didn't realise was in the terms and conditions. She dealt with it quickly and was really supportive. Everything has been going smoothly so far, and I'm feeling positive that my holiday will be just as great as I've been looking forward to, without needing any more help.

    Overcharged without permission

    I had a bit of a bad experience with Holiday Gems recently. I'd paid for my holiday all upfront, only for their guy, Martin, to get in touch and say I owed an extra £54.00. I said I needed some time to think about it before I decided, but then they just went ahead and took the money from my account without asking me first. That really wound me up because I believe in being open and fair in all my dealings, and I felt like Holiday Gems didn't respect that at all. So, now I'm saying no more to them - never again will I use their services.

    Family holiday booking

    My recent experience booking a family holiday was a massive letdown. I was so excited because it was for my mum's 60th birthday, but after I booked it, I got a call saying the price had gone up by nearly £200! When I tried to cancel, they said I needed to give them 72 hours’ notice, even though the price change happened only 2 days after I thought I had it booked. A manager then got in touch to ask about my experience, but it just felt like a standard email and I thought everything was all sorted. But a week later, they told me the flights I had booked weren't even available! It's been really annoying trying to get a refund and it's taking forever. Honestly, this has been the worst booking experience I've ever had.

    Booking my holiday was so easy, I found just what I was after in the package deal. Although, I hit a bump when the price had gone up by the time I got a call confirming my booking. Luckily, the customer service rep, Sam, sorted it out and stuck to the original price. I was really impressed by her professionalism and how she sorted everything out so nicely.     Holiday booking assistance

    You know what really gets on my nerves? Trying to use apps when my eyesight is playing up. So, when I couldn't get onto the airline website to put in my passport details, I was absolutely seething. However, I thought I'd give it a go and dropped them an email for some assistance. Can you believe it? They actually got back to me pretty quickly and sent over some useful links to try out online. Crisis averted. I'll definitely be using them again.

    Holiday Gems Cowboys

    Booked a holiday to Tunisia.
    Flight delayed 5hours.
    Informed Gems while in UK to make sure transfer aware.
    Got there at midnight no transfer only TUI reps and one taxi driver.
    Called emergency number told to call transfer company ourselves.
    Very helpful taxi driver tried to find our transfer but nowhere to be found.
    He then took us part way to resort and we changed taxis with his mate who dropped us at resort.
    Contacted gems to be told we must have been a no show, so how were we in Tunisia?
    Made a complaint they have now told us the transfer company were waiting for us.
    The airport was deserted.
    It cost us £40 for the taxi but did not get to resort till 3am.
    They would not even refund the £9 that the 3 minute call cost to the emergency number.
    We are a couple in our 60's and we were left high and dry by Holiday Gems.
    Avoid at all costs and stay with the named companies instead of these con artists.

    They did not inform us that our return flight had been cancelled. We had to find out the day before our departure when they had been aware of it for nearly 2 weeks! Therefore all the alternative options for flights back into Manchester had been booked up and we had to pay an extra £2,000 to get a flight back into Leeds Bradford. I spent 7 hours contacting them, they put the phone down, cut me off, told me their systems were down, or to cancel and forfeit our outbound flight cost and holiday. They do not adhere to the package regulations protection of The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 - you may as well book your own flights/accommodation/transfers directly with suppliers separately and at least you will have transparency when anything changes/cancels. I am taking this further with ATOL and a solicitor if they do not reimburse!

    Turkey Holiday - Ultra All Includive

    It is a horrible experience to book holidays with HolidayGems. After you book and pay on the website you get a call the next day to find out that you have to pay an additional charge for language and that there is a surcharge that they can not explain per person too. Everything is not explained on the website at all and such practice is as well against the law in the UK. We would not be using them again after experiencing being in 5 star resort in Turkey which runs an as well a money-saving concept. So many basic things you should simply expect for a 5 star holiday were not included in the amount you paid. And most miss leading the holiday was sold and advertised on the website as ULTRA ALL INCLUSIVE. But you paid for WiFI, No Mini Bar just cheap water bottles in the room. Cantine food no 5-star food. Air-Con had to be repaired 2 times, sower had to be repaired 2 times. Because the rooms that Holiday Gems is booking are outdated and have not been upgraded years ago. Never seen such a greedy resort. And we make holidays in Turkey every year. Been suing Holiday gems for the first and surely last time. We do NOT recommend using them at all.
