Nightmare refund process
I had an absolutely terrible time with trying to get a refund. I booked a place in France, but had to cancel because of something unexpected. They said I'd get my money back, but it never showed up. I kept getting different stories from customer service, they didn't seem to care about keeping me happy at all. Dealing with them was a nightmare, it left me feeling annoyed, anxious, and really let down. And to make things worse, I'm still trying to get back a bit of money they owe me. I definitely won't be using this website again, and I'd tell anyone else to stay well away too.
Booking payment delayed
I'm a Vrbo host and I faced a problem recently with not getting paid on time for two bookings. Vrbo promised payment when the guests arrived, but after four weeks, I still hadn't been paid. It's been frustrating and put a strain on my finances as I'm owed a substantial £4300. I tried contacting Vrbo multiple times by phone and email, but they were unhelpful and made excuses. It's disappointing to be ignored after providing accommodation services with trust and good intentions.
Norfolk Broads holiday stay
My family and I had a lovely time staying in a delightful cottage in Norfolk recently. It was our first visit to the Norfolk Broads, and we really enjoyed it. We were lucky with the weather, so we got to go on a boat tour of the beautiful Broads. The Thrigby Thatched Cottage was a great base for our explorations. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was really cosy in the evenings. Being close to a wildlife park and having a lovely garden on site made our holiday even better.
Accommodation booking review
I had a really hard time trying to contact someone about my accommodation booking. I kept getting disconnected when I tried to call customer service, and now my Travelnest account doesn't recognise my login details. Also, I filled out a feedback form in June but didn't receive another one since my holiday got postponed and just happened recently. The phone number on the company's website wasn't working properly. The cottage I stayed in wasn't up to scratch - it wasn't very clean, and the owners were unresponsive and rude in their messages to me.
Amazing apartment, epic views
I visited this really nice place with my parents, it was really clean and had amazing views. The owner was so friendly and gave us great directions to get there. It was in such a peaceful location, really relaxing. We enjoyed it so much that we went there twice, and we are definitely planning to go back again next year!
Delayed refund process
I'm really disappointed with the customer service I got from this rental platform. I've been waiting for 10 months for a refund, and after so many emails, I'm just frustrated and angry. The way they've handled my refund request is just not good enough. I've had enough and now I have to go through the hassle of taking legal action to get my money back. It's such an inconvenience.
Holiday cottage stay
The holiday cottage was really nice, but to be honest, the whole experience with the owner and the neighbours wasn't great. Firstly, we expected the owner to be there to welcome us, but it turned out to be her Dad instead, which was a bit surprising. And after we left, there was very little communication from the owner, which wasn't very polite.
As for the neighbours, the elderly people living nearby, especially a crazy Scottish woman, were not very friendly or sociable. It's a real pity that people can't be more welcoming these days. Overall, the lack of personal attention from the owner and the unfriendly neighbours definitely put a damper on what could've been a lovely stay.Got refund finally
It felt like forever, but I finally managed to get my money back from that holiday in France. It took a whopping 12 weeks. I had to spend hours on the phone and endless emailing. VRBO eventually agreed to refund me, but they went ahead and sent it to a credit card account that I had already closed! Can you believe it? I had to get in touch with my bank to get everything sorted. What a nightmare!
Holiday stay booking
I recently booked a holiday stay through Vrbo, but unfortunately it was cancelled because of Covid. At first, they said I could change my dates, but now they're saying that's not an option. It's been really frustrating trying to get in touch with Vrbo and sort this out. I'm not happy with the lack of good customer service and how they're not following through on what they promised before.
Covid holiday cancel
My holiday to France had to be cancelled because of Covid and I couldn't even get my deposit back. The owner wouldn't speak to me and VRBO said they couldn't do anything to help. It's just not fair!
Unfulfilled refund request
I had to cancel my booking with a well-known holiday rental website because of travel disruptions caused by COVID-19. Their terms said I could get a full refund, but I only got back the service fee, not the booking cost. I tried many times to sort it out, even giving them an ARN number my bank didn't accept, but their customer service team didn't help quickly. They even sent me a refund by cheque from the property company instead of back to my original payment method. This whole thing has been annoying and changed my view of a company I thought was trustworthy.
Recent holiday experience
I just got back from a lovely week away in the New Forest. The place I stayed in was really clean, had everything I needed, and even had a cosy log fire. Angie, who helped me with the booking and during my stay, was amazing. She was so helpful, always there when I needed her, and made sure I was happy. I really appreciate her hard work and how she made sure I had a great holiday. I would definitely book with them again next time.
Italy holiday booking
I recently booked a holiday in Italy but had to change the date due to Covid. Sadly, the owner only refunded half of my deposit and is refusing to give back the rest. VRBO is doing their best to assist but they are unable to compel the owner to return my money. It just doesn't seem fair at all!
Refund Delay Issues
I had to cancel a booking not long ago and was told I would get a full refund. However, it's been four weeks and I still haven't received the booking fee back. The property owners did their bit quickly, but the booking platform is dragging its feet. I tried emailing them with no success, and their other suggested ways of getting in touch haven't worked either.
Trip booking in London
I recently planned a trip to London, but had to cancel it because of things outside my control. When I asked for a refund, the owner of the place said no, even after the booking platform got involved. It was really annoying because I paid for something and didn't get it. I'd tell others to watch out for dodgy hosts like that in the future.
Booking Disaster
We arranged a holiday but had to cancel because of COVID-19 and now we're struggling to get a refund. Both the company and the middleman are being completely unhelpful. It's really frustrating and we're having to take them to court to resolve it. It's a total nightmare!
Scammers - terrible awful
They're total scammers, I can't believe it! They need to be properly investigated for ripping people off. They're complete crooks, don't trust them!
Villa booking during COVID-19
I rented a villa from this website during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we couldn't travel because of restrictions. I asked for my £1300 back, but the company ignored me and wasn't very helpful. So now I've decided to take them to court.
Short break at Anglesey, Llanerchymedd
My recent little getaway to Anglesey, specifically Llanerchymedd, was absolutely lovely. The place looked great from the outside, and once we stepped inside, we were greeted with a beautifully decorated and fully equipped interior. The staff were very easy to communicate with, and their professionalism and personal touch were outstanding. Any problems we had were sorted out quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Overall, our time in Anglesey, Llanerchymedd was really enjoyable, and I definitely suggest booking a stay here. We're already excited about booking again sometime in the future.

I booked a holiday from 20th to 27th June 2020 at a place in Hayle. I decided to cancel it on the 17th of March, but so far I haven't got my refund yet. The owner of the place has a strict no refund policy and even warned me of taking legal action if I try to get my money back through my credit card. It's been 10 months now, and still no sign of my refund. I'm not going to make any bookings with them in the future. Mr Carl Bolding is really not pleased about this situation.
