Multiple items with missing items
Oh, I don't even know where to begin with this company. I placed an order, then tried to add some more items but ended up cancelling within the timeframe they gave. And then, just an hour later, I magically got a shipping notification! I tried emailing and calling them but got no response for weeks. And when the parcel finally arrived, it was still missing some items. What a mess!
Box of assorted clearance items
I recently bought a box of mixed clearance goods from Clearance XL and my experience wasn't great. I paid extra for express delivery but when the expected delivery date came and went, I couldn't get hold of the company by email, no one replied. I felt annoyed and wasn't sure if I'd ever get my stuff. Eventually, the box turned up and I was a bit let down by what was inside. There were 12 cans of ginger beer, 12 cartons of vegetable soup, and some random samples like cakes, tonic water, and a bag of salt. I like the idea of surprise items but what was in my box wasn't very interesting or practical. It looks like I'll only use a few things and the rest will have to go in the bin.
XL-sized bargains
Don't bother wasting time looking elsewhere - Clearance XL is where you should head for great deals on XL-sized items. The range and standard of products are fantastic, and the support from the team was outstanding. I was thrilled when my order turned up in only 4 days. The 4 parcels of treats I got were wrapped up really nicely, with everything there and nothing broken. A huge thanks to all the staff at Clearance XL - I'll definitely be returning for more very soon. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Mystery box purchase using wowcher
I ordered a mystery box through Wowcher on the 6th of February. Even though I didn't get any confirmation from the company, both PayPal and Wowcher confirmed that the payment and redemption went through. As the 30-day mark got close, I sent an email to ask for an update, but got no reply. When I emailed again on the same day, suddenly my order status changed to 'completed.' At first, I felt like I might have been scammed, but then I got an email from the courier at 4pm saying the parcel would be with me soon. The next day, I got the delivery from DPD and was happy with what I got. Not everything in the mystery box was my cup of tea, but there was a good mix and it was value for money. Due to this, I've changed my rating from 1 to 4, but the lack of communication and the negative initial impression are still on my mind.
Soggy Carrs biscuits, old Caesar salad dressing, flat coke, dried up cake, huge bag of poppy seeds
I bought a few things from this shop, thinking they might be a bit out of date. Turns out, some of them were wayyy past it - like a year or more. The Carrs biscuits were all soft and yucky, the caesar salad dressing had expired a whole year ago, the coke was completely flat, and the cake was all dried out. Plus, they chucked in this massive bag of poppy seeds that could literally stock a bakery for ages. It felt like they'd just grabbed stuff from hotel rooms or maybe the counter at Starbucks. When I tried to complain, they were really rude about it. And trying to leave a review was a nightmare - they kept questioning it. I reckon I'll stick to other services like 2good2go or Olio in future, no way I'm dealing with this unprofessional lot again.
Mystery box purchase
I bought a mystery box from this company not long ago and I was pretty happy with what I got. It didn't cost much and there was a good mix of things in there. The only let down was the customer service - I tried getting in touch a few times but never heard back. Even so, I'm still happy with what I got, so I might give them another go in the future. Next time, I might splash out on next-day delivery for a quicker service.
Discounted items
Oh, it's been an absolute nightmare! I bought something on the website, but now I'm totally in the dark because there's been no confirmation email and I've got no clue when my stuff is going to turn up. They've taken my money, just like they have with loads of other people, but there's been no communication at all. I've tried getting in touch via email and chat, but all I got was a message saying they were offline. It's so annoying and just not on. If I could, I'd give them zero stars, I really would.
Snacks and drinks
I believe it's really important to support the companies we trust, especially during these tough times in the UK. I've been shopping on this site since the beginning of covid and I've never had a bad experience. The website has had a fancy new makeover and I did struggle a bit with signing in at first, but creating a new account sorted it out straight away. I'm looking forward to receiving my snacks and drinks, and I'm sure I'll be back for more goodies. The new website is much easier to navigate now, so a big thumbs up for that! 👍🏽
Delayed delivery
I made an order at the end of January and it still hasn't arrived. I've tried getting in touch with customer service several times via email but haven't heard back from them at all. This is totally unacceptable and seems like a total scam. I wouldn't advise anyone to order from this company.
Expired products
I'm absolutely shocked and disgusted by the expired products I got from Clearance XL. It was my first time ordering from them, and to my horror, the items were a whole 2 years out of date! I quickly sent an email to complain and ask for a refund, but I didn't hear anything back. The contact number they gave was useless too, as the lines were completely dead. The way they're handling this is just shameful, and honestly, it all seems a bit dodgy to me. I really wouldn't recommend wasting your hard-earned cash or precious time on this company.
wrong product delivered
I ordered something particular from Clearance XL, but when my order turned up, I got the wrong thing. I got in touch with their customer service through the chat online to sort it out. But the person I was chatting to said they had to nip off for a coffee, leaving me hanging around for ages. That's just not good enough, it doesn't make the company look good at all.
Mixed products
I wanted to share my recent shopping experience with you all! I was really happy with how everything turned out. Even though I had seen a few bad reviews, my order actually arrived in good shape just three days after I placed it. The only downside was that I didn't receive a confirmation email for my order, so I couldn't keep track of where it was. That was a bit stressful because I didn't know if everything was going through okay. Other than that, I thought the prices were fair and they had a really good selection of stuff to choose from.

I found some amazing stuff at Clearance XL! The packaging was really good, and the staff were great. Big shoutout to Paul, he's my favourite shopkeeper! I even sent an email with my order number 113047009.

Various household items
I recently bought some stuff from Clearance XL for my house, and the things were alright and cheap, but the delivery service was a letdown. I chose a delivery time, but DHL, the delivery company they used, messed up big time. They gave me three different times on different days, and the last delivery was over an hour early. This lack of being on time and telling me what's going on is just not on, it messed up my plans and caused hassle. I got in touch with Clearance XL to moan about the delivery, but they didn't bother to get back to me or sort it out.
Cheese order
I recently ordered some items from Clearance XL, including a special Godmister Valentine's cheese package. I've been a loyal customer for years and always had a good experience, but this time there was an issue. The cheese was missing from my order when it arrived. I wasn't sure if it wasn't packed or if it fell out of a hole in the box. I tried reaching out to Clearance XL through email and their chat system, but I haven't received any response since my order on the 31st of January. I'm disappointed and frustrated because I was really looking forward to enjoying the cheese with my wife for Valentine's Day.
Bargain purchases
I popped into this store recently and managed to grab some bargains, all in all, I'm pretty happy with how it went. The website has definitely upped its game since I last checked it out, now giving more info about the stuff they're selling, which is handy for deciding what to buy. Having said that, some of the older products could do with a bit of a refresh, adding more details to make them more appealing to potential customers. Can't complain about the prices though, they're really good and you can get some decent discounts on a wide range of items.
Household essentials
I just bought some bits and bobs for the house from this shop. When they finally arrived, I was chuffed 'cos they were top-notch. But, it took ages for them to turn up and no one kept me in the loop. It made me think it might be a con job. It would have been nice to get some updates on when my order was coming and an idea of when to expect it.
Large order
I recently placed a big order with Clearance XL and, unfortunately, had some issues with the delivery. I made a mistake by choosing the longer postage option on their website. When I realised this, I quickly sent an email to their customer service team. I got a reply from Paul, who asked for my order date, but I haven't heard anything back since then. So, I'm still waiting for my box to arrive and haven't received any updates on what's happening. I'm getting quite annoyed with the lack of communication and transparency in this whole situation. It would really help me out if I could get an update on my order, and if they can't fulfil it, either get my box or a refund. I'd be happy to write a more positive review once my box arrives, but right now, I'm feeling let down by the service from Clearance XL.
