    2 rose bush trees

    Negative review as really terrible customer service after half the order 'germinated', the other half is fine, however it does not achieve the desired affect and a replacement would have sufficed, or r efund so I could have found an alternative, but neither has materialised after 10 weeks. Appalling customer service, no response to enquiries or emails and repetition using a standard template in answer to everything. I'll need to escalate to an ombudsman get my money back, what a waste of time, never using again.

    There's really nothing positive to say other than perhaps that their site looks nice.

    Beyond that the plants they sent us took nearly 2 months to arrive and were all dead and dying, those that were dying are mostly now dead. Customer service is non-existent in that they just ignore your tickets despite supposedly offering 14 day money back guarantee and such.

    They try to game review sites like Trustpilot where they report all negative reviews, Trustpilot requires the reviewer to then prove their case, as many people just don't bother it artificially inflates their rating. Similarly they invite people to review who they've given good service too - this means their low 2.5 Trustpilot rating has been artificially inflated.

    When a group of customers setup a Facebook page to air their complaints, Gardening Express sent a legal letter demanding they cease and desist.

    What more can be said? Who would want to deal with such a vile, disgusting, company? You can get cheaper much better quality plants at your local garden centre, so this is one of those where you really should just go local.

    Dwarf Korean Lilac Shrubs; Black Cherry Patio Fruit Tree; others

    Ordered the above on 3rd May. Delivered on 17th June. Both Black Cherry Patio Fruit Trees are diseased (One was delivered two weeks ago) and will need to be destroyed. Wrote to the company with photographs and a reply by e-mail said my complaint was being forwarded to the Horticultural Manager. Despite many e-mails heard nothing. Very bad customer service. The rest of the order of poor quality. Arrived very dry. Put into buckets of water immediately to revive. All the plants are in a poor distressed condition and are not healthy as expected from a Nursery. They included free a packet of bulbs but no label to say what they are!!! I will never order from this company again. Very disappointed.

    Roses & daphne

    Ordered my plants 8 th April , now 17 th june & STILL NOT RECIEVED. Sent emails, ticket complaints & pulling my hair out but no reply , they should not be allowed to carry on doing this, why has Martin Lewis money market had anything to do with them, my money was taken immediately I ordered with no info about delays until after.

    Various plants over £100

    Ordered various plants 24.4.20 with no mention of any delays when I ordered. Then how surprising I see the comments about delays. I have raised tickets and have just had generic replies. I have sent e mails with no response. This is an awful way to do business and they should be stopped. I found out about Gardening Express through ‘Money Saving Expert.com’ Martin Lewis’ company so thought they must be legit. I paid with a credit card so have now started a dispute with them so they can get my money back. I am also going to write to MSE to see what they can do for me and to help any other people in the same situation. Good luck anyone in the same situation as me and any potential new customers - DONT DO IT!!!!

    Plants

    After patiently waiting 8 weeks, 5 lupins, a perennial wallflower and three aquilegia arrived.....mainly broken and at best, in very poor condition and that is being polite.The company are quick to take your money and tell you how hard they are working so cant answer individual queries.
    They are not charging bargain basement prices and have had £40.00 for these plantsand they are p not fit for purpose.All I can see in too many places are a lot of other similar experiences.The company are very hard to contact. have never in my history of online ordering had such poor products and such poor service.I am actually really shocked to find a company operating like this.It is immoral and it needs to stop.I have never, ever had to write this type of review. Absolutely flabberghasted!!!!!..And the one stars would have been zeros if I were allowed to give them.

    12 plants

    Took over 2 months to arrive and when they did 50% of the plants too diseased to plant. This comoany us the most unprofessional business I gave ever encountered. No proper contact. I gad been trying to cancel my order for a month, no acknowledgement from them. Then the plants arrive. It will cost me £70 to return them, so I cannot afford that. Will have to burn the diseased ones. Honestly it has made me ill with worry. AVOID THIS COMPANY they are charletans.

    Sorry to hear of your problems. I have an order with them and am not getting any response so I have contacted the credit card company so they can fight my corner and get a refund. If you paid by card Maybe you could do the same? Give it a go and good luck.

    Dreadful no communication except one standard dela a week after ordering. Not up when I ordered in April. Ugnorred every cancellation and suddenly box turns up on doorstep with rubbish plants

    £180 worth of plants

    Awful, don’t buy them, took 8 weeks to receive part order including dead plants. Impossible to get any sense out of them, claiming money back. Buying plants should not be this hard

    dreadful do not order. ordered mid April with 3-5 day delivery. then following week email saying slight delay, following week 2 - 4 week delivery. i decided to cancel and raised 3 support tickets, 2 emails, and sent 1 recorded delivery letter to cancel with one response saying it would go to centre for resolution. goods arrived today. if i return i will have to pay postage but goods not wanted

    8x Plants

    I ordered 8 plants. My money was taken straight away but after 4+ weeks nothing had arrived (they were advertising 3-5 days at the time of my order). I tried to get in touch with them but it's impossible - the only form of contact they offer is by post. No phone number, no email address, no contact form! I wrote to them and requested a refund. No reply / no refund! Finally, after 7 weeks, my plants arrived. Of the 8 plants I ordered, 6 were dead!

    3 hollyhocks, 5 Dianthus 1 wallflower

    10 plants ordered April 9thz. Received last week. 1 large pot of something dead. 3 hollyhocks ok but small. 4 Dianthus poor specimens. No wallflower. 8 plants received. Dreadful

    Terrible customer service. plants arrived dead or dying. it takes them ages to respond to complaint. I have sent photos of plants twice and they still ask for me to send them more. Will never use them again.

    They take your money , have no contact number .
    They dont respond to open tickets!!
    Very bad customer service ! How this companies running i dont know !

    Clematis Armandii

    ABSOLUTELY APPALLING’
    I placed an order for a Clematis Armandii two weeks ago but as our local garden centre has now opened I have tried to cancel the order. Having emailed 3 times with no response and completely unable to make contact with Gardening Express the item just arrived and what an appalling specimen it is. They should be ashamed of themselves selling this plant for £20 in this condition.
    I am currently renovating my garden and have spent upwards of £1500 during lockdown on plants from different nurseries all of which have been in excellent condition apart from this one from Gardening Express.
    APPALLING SERVICE- APPALLING PLANT. Definitely would NOT recommend using them.

    Ordered 3 plants which were all in stock on 16 April. Delivery advised at time of ordering to be 3-5 days, then increased to 2-4 weeks for some deliveries. That was 5 weeks ago, had absolutely no communication, no update, no response to the emails and ticket I raised and no other way of contacting them or cancelling the order. Absolutely appalling service and way to treat people, using Covid as the excuse. Having done a bit more research now, this seems standard for this company to take your money and not send anything and people appear to have some trouble getting their money back as a result. I've got the bank onto the case now to get my money back as Gardening Express are still not even having the courtesy to update and the plants I ordered are now out of stock. Dreadful experience. Avoid at all costs. These are scammers by all accounts.

    Goods paid for but not delivered

    I ordered plants 5 and a half weeks ago and so far have received nothing. There’s no information from them. When I ordered they said they would ship within 3 to 5 days. Two weeks after ordering their website said they were delays and they would ship within 2 to 4 weeks. There is no way to contact them and no cancellation option. They charged my credit card the moment I ordered. Not transparent and unreliable. Avoid

    Rubbish

    I ordered 4 plants one was a pair of standard roses when I eventually received them I was disgusted with them it was just a couple of prongs grafted on a stem no buds so I had no idea if they were alive the other plants not much better I emailed them with photo,s but with no reply from them, wished I read the reviews before I ordered how do they get away with it.
