Quick and easy booking
Booking my ticket was really easy, they gave me all the details I needed on prices and times. But, when I wanted to switch to a later time for my journey, it wasn't allowed even though I picked the option where you can get a refund. It was a bit annoying and they could have told me about this better.
Online booking experience
I thought that booking online was pretty easy, but I reckon they should let people know up front about any extra charges like booking fees. And it would have been good to be told that you need a paper ticket, not just an electronic one, when you get to the ferry port. Not knowing this did cause me a bit of hassle.
Online booking for ferry to Donegal
I found it surprisingly easy to book my ferry to Donegal, even though I usually struggle with online purchases. I managed to navigate the website and make my booking without any big problems. I'm looking forward to travelling with the ferry company and keeping my fingers crossed for good weather on my trip back to Donegal.
Easy booking with plenty of route and time options, including price comparisons.
I was really pleased with all the different routes and times I could choose from when booking my trip. It made it so easy to pick the best option for me. Being able to compare prices was a big help too, it made my decision much easier. Overall, I thought the booking process was simple and quick.
Tricked by Price
I was under the impression that I was going to be charged £18 for my ticket, but it turned out to be £24! Can you believe it? I didn't notice the price increase when I clicked to purchase the ticket. It's really annoyed me, to be honest.
Quick and easy booking process
I had a really easy time booking my ferry trip through this website. The website was simple to use, so I could quickly check ferry times and prices. The payment went through without any problems, and straight away I got confirmation and my tickets in my email. Overall, it was a hassle-free experience and I found it super convenient.
Booking a ferry trip
The website was really straightforward to use and I had no trouble booking my ferry journey. But, I did notice that there was some info missing about the various upgrade choices like Lounge 1, Lounge 2, and Business class. It would be handy to see photos and detailed explanations for each kind of upgrade. Also, as someone who's travelling with them for the first time, I wasn't sure about how much luggage I could bring on board. It would be really helpful to have a quick note about baggage allowances for other customers.
Booking ferry tickets
I had to book some ferry tickets and it was a bit tricky at first with the passport situation, but I managed to work it out in the end. Overall, not a bad experience for booking things online.
Ferry booking
I'm a customer and I recently booked a ferry on the website. When I got my bill, I saw there were extra charges added without telling me beforehand. It would help if the company showed these fees more clearly to prevent any confusion or unhappiness among customers. The booking process was easy and quick, but not knowing the full cost left me a bit let down.
Second booking this year
This will be my second time using this website to book my trip, and I really hope it goes as well as the first one did. Booking was really simple, and I had no problems at all when I went through the port. Everything went pretty smoothly, to be honest.
Ferry trip booking
I tried to book a ferry trip on Sunday, but had some trouble with my card when it came to paying. It was frustrating to get stuck at the last hurdle after going through the whole booking process. Thankfully, I gave it another go on Monday and it all worked out fine. The cost of the ferry trip seemed a bit steep, but I guess that's just part of the deal.
Ferry tickets
I got my ferry tickets online really quickly and easily, just like a walk in the park! The website was so user-friendly, just like playing a game on my tablet. The only thing that had me scratching my head was what happens if I haven't booked my rental car yet? Do I need to do that before or can I sort it out later? It would be handy if they had a little pop-up to give you a heads up about that kind of thing.
E-tickets printing requirement
I wasn't too happy about having to print out the tickets instead of being able to keep them on my phone in an app or wallet. It would have been much easier just to show an e-ticket on my phone instead of having to hunt down a printer, especially in this day and age.
Vegetarian booking difficulty
Honestly, it's really annoying that nowadays there's no simple way to request being a vegetarian when booking. It should be an obvious choice on the booking site, not some tricky puzzle for customers to figure out. Having a clear floor plan could make a big difference in how seating is organised and help us make better choices. It feels like a straightforward idea, but for some reason, it's just too hard to find.
Booking ferry reservations
I recently booked ferry tickets using this service and I must say, it was really handy and efficient. It was so easy to choose and book the ferry journeys I wanted without any trouble. The only small issue I had was figuring out which cabin to pick, it was a bit confusing to start with. But in general, I was happy with how straightforward it was to make the reservations through this service.
Booking error correction
I recently booked a trip through this service and ended up making a mistake with the passenger's name. I tried to fix it right away, but it proved to be quite difficult. I had to cancel my original booking with reference DFP172394934/Alilauro 41277TEPAZ and make a new booking with reference DFP172398670/Alilauro 41277TEPZR. I am still waiting for the refund of €99.99 to be processed back to my payment card for the cancelled booking. To add to the frustration, it appears that the passenger names on the tickets weren't even checked properly.
Ticket purchase
I found the ticket buying process really easy and straightforward. But I was a bit let down by the lack of info on the website after I bought the tickets, so I had to ring up for help.
Missed ferry due to lack of information
I booked a ferry using your service not long ago, and sadly, I ended up missing the ferry because I wasn't informed about a change in time. This meant I had to spend more than £200 on extra accommodation. I tried contacting Direct Ferries for help, but they refused to own up to their mistake. This has left me feeling really annoyed and with less money in my pocket.
Easy booking and enjoyable travel experience
Booking the trip was easy and there were lots of great travel options available. The prices for meals were reasonable and there was duty-free shopping too. It was a really relaxed and stress-free trip, which made it a lot of fun.
Web booking for pet travel
The website was really easy to use and I had no problems booking my travel with my dog. The only issue was that even though I booked for my pet, I couldn't reserve a spot in The Pet Lounge online. I had to call P&O Ferries separately to do that, which was a bit of a hassle.
