Easy online holiday booking
I booked a holiday online for the first time and it was so easy. I really liked how everything was clear from the start, no unexpected costs at checkout. It saved me the trouble of visiting a travel agent. The prices were reasonable and I will definitely use this service again in the future.
Holiday to Prague
Purchased a holiday package, stating that the hotel will have air conditioning, Spa/fitness facility, bar... but when we arrived we realized that not only that's not the case now, hotel has never had such facilities.
Got in touch with customer services and explained the situation, to my surprise they did not believe me and asked me to check and see if air conditioning units are under maintenance... After wasting two days of my holiday chasing Loveholidays customer services, hours on the phone, online chat and sleeping in a room with a fan when temperature outside was 31 degrees, they asked me to get the hotel to send them an email and verify that they do not have these facilities.
I did that and took photos of the room and hotel facilities and send it to them just to be offered a £50 compensation as the best that they can do. I was told that if I do not wish to accept the offer, there is nothing else they are willing to do and I can make a claim after I arrived home, If I decided to go down that path, they don't guarantee that I would be offered anything at all.
After arriving home, going forwards and backward for a month with their team they decided the issue me a refund of £70 to my account without my agreement and told me not to call them regarding this matter again as this matter has been closed on their end and further correspondence essentially will be ignored, whilst they were still selling package holidays to the same hotel advertising the same facilities, even though they new that was not through.
Only after I got in touch with ASA, they decided to change the advert.
Shame on you Loveholidays.
I will never use them again and certainly won't recommend them to anyone else unless you don't mind nasty surprises and holiday packages from ...travel
I do not recommend using loveholidays because customers are not a priority for them!
Hotel booking
I have just been advised by Loveholidays that the 4 star Hotel I have booked and paid them for in central Athens is not available. It is less than 2 weeks before I was due to stay and there is very limited alternative accommodation now. They have offered me 'rooms' 10km out of Athens, a 2 star hotel with poor reviews or an apartment 7KM away as alternative and they say these are comparable! I am fighting my corner but will continue to post poor reviews until I get a satisfactory response from them. I would strongly advise not to book with them as you could easily be let down last minute. I am still awaiting a refund and proper consideration of my case
Package Holiday
I booked a package holiday to Fuengirola - Las Palmeras Hotel and was very much excited to go on holiday for the first time in a year. Before booking I checked the reviews and everything seemed OK (I may have only looked at around 5 or 6). Anyway, thought I would have a look again (now that I had booked) and I have noticed that people have reviewed and said that they have experienced lots of cockroaches in the hotel rooms, that the pool is ... and also the fact that construction works have commenced so that you can't even enjoy and relax by the pool if you wanted to. I booked an AirBnB and a new flight. I contacted LoveHoliday to ask them if they would refund me the admin fee, they said that they would come back to me within 48 hours but didn't. Four days later they came back with "We've spoken to the Supplier and they have confirmed that the hotel is fine, have a nice holiday". I have now cancelled the booking and spend 40 minutes on the phone to someone who said that this can't be refunded, she spoke to the 'support' team who relayed the same information. I then proceeded to ask to speak to a Manager, no one available. Asked to speak to the 'Support' team, no one available. I felt sorry for the call centre agent if I'm honest, she even admitted that she would like to start looking to work for a different company because she has to deal with this everyday. Anyway, they have now stolen £75 for doing absolutely nothing apart from incorrect advertising a hotel. I am disgusted that a company could be so unhelpful and not even have a care in the world. I will be sure to make reviews on every platform to shame this awful company. Disgusting how they can just take money from people without doing anything! Fuming.
All Inclusive Holiday
Booked all inclusive trip to Turkey back in early July - took a few weeks to choose the right destination ... right hotel. Then, with just over a week to departure, Loveholidays email to say the hotel has overbooked and we will have to find alternative accommodation. After a few days waiting/'chatting', they came up with one choice - a similar hotel but nowhere near a resort or the sea (first hotel chosen was close to both). I asked to cancel the whole package, to be told the flight was fixed and couldn't be changed. With only two days to go to departure day and no further support from Loveholidays, we had no choice, other than to accept the change of hotel. Unfortunately, the 5... hotel was average at best and 3 of our party were unwell from day 5 onwards (we suspect the food and upon return, our doctor is running tests). On top of this the transfers to ... from the hotel/airport were appalling if not downright dangerous - too fast and on bad roads! I have since written to Loveholidays customer service and they have basically done nothing other than to say information will be passed on. I would avoid using this company - last minute changes, little support and poor customer service.
AWFUL Experience with LOVE HOLIDAYS
AWFUL Experience with LOVE HOLIDAYS
We are having a truly terrible experience with Love Holidays. We are staying at Club Resort Atlantis in Turkey. The resort is not 5 star as advertised. It is old and ..., the pools are small, there are not sufficient sun-loungers, the hotel is overrun with feral cats particularly in the restaurants and food is poor. The electricity in our room goes off several times during the day and night. There is an open fuse box in our room which sparks when you have to click the switch to get the electricity to come back on. Our toilet is broken and the water has been switched off. Despite booking a twin room for our teenage children (16 and 13), we were allocated a double room and our 13 year old son is therefore sleeping on the sofa. Despite writing to Love Holidays on the first day of our holiday and phoning each day since, Love Holidays have not responded to us to address our concerns. We only go on one holiday a year and are very upset and disappointed. We will be seeking a refund from Love Holidays when we return to the UK.Hotel
If I could zero stars I would. Booked a holiday through Loveholidays agent. Looked at hotel offering twin or double bedrooms. The agent via telephone assured me that I could get the double bedroom for £100 extra, so I booked as didn't want a twin. Turned up at the hotel and they only do twin rooms - they have never had double beds. I contacted Loveholidays the day I checked in to advise of the situation and ask for a refund of the difference in room price, because if I had known that they were all twins I wouldn't have paid extra. Their advertising is completely incorrect. I was told that they don't do refunds. I stated that I have paid for a service that doesn't exist. I asked for the complaints procedure or to speak to a manager. The agent denied my request saying the manager would tell me the same thing. Again I asked for the complaints procedure which she wouldn't give me - she just told me to contact the 'post holiday' team on my return. Which I did. They then denied the fact that I had contacted them during the holiday making my complaint invalid! I sent them screenshots of the conversation as proof which they ignored and never replied to me. Love Holidays falsely advertise accommodation, take extra money and then refuse to refund a service you didn't even get! Shocking. I will NEVER use again and advise against anyone else using this bunch of fraudsters either.

They changed our hotel and didn't say anything.. Their customer service is beyond a joke. When we returned home, they said as we were no longer abroad, they could no longer help us.
Stay awayHoliday
Do not use Love Holidays ... Ryanair! LH booked our holiday ... took the money immediately. Ryanair cancelled our flight at last minute for no good reason. We had no communication from LH! We sorted our own return flight for next day at a cost of £400! Love Holidays didn’t want to know ... wouldn’t help us claim the money back. Ryanair wouldn’t refund as they said we used a 3rd party! Both a disgrace ... so unhelpful. We were warned before not to use either company ... now I warn others not to use them!
Holidays
Used Love Holidays on three occasions. First holiday booked, all seemed to go smoothly until there was a bereavement in the familly and itbwas impossible to get through to anyone in customer services. We tried sending emails to postpone the holiday, but they ignored all correspondence.
Second holiday to Malta pre pandemic. This was cheaper through this company. In resort, there was no representative and the overseas contact number was unattainable.
Third holiday, which my fiancé booked as a surprise birthday. We arrived at our 4... hotel and the room was not the correct room. We asked reception, who gave us a different room, but was ..., then third time lucky, we opened the door to find it already occupied!
After nearly 90 minutes back and forth with our luggage, we decided to go back to original room as we were exhausted! We tried to contact 'Love Holidays' to no avail. We asked the hotel receptionist to contact them and they said they couldn't.
We then proceeded to contact them upon our return to ask for a refund for the difference in the room charge. They refused to refund because we did not make contact with them while we were in resort. We tried but didn’t get anywhere.
Contacted the hotel to ask what their difference in room rate was. Turns out that Love Holidays double charge on their website and therefore they SCAMMED us by not refunding what we were due.
They just send a standard email which is not relevant to the issue.
APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN.Holiday
Online booking error cost me an extra £300.
An error occurred with Loveholidays 'mybooking' system. My wife and I booked HB at The Navarria Hotel, Cyprus, which some how was altered to B...B when I checked the itinerary prior to going on holiday. The only alteration I amended was the hotel transfer as we had a rental car. I received an email with a £30 refund, which I thought was a generous offer for cancelling the hotel transfer. I contacted an online agent who pointed out the alteration and this is when the agent informed me of the reason for the refund, I explained that I had no idea how the change had occurred and could the hotel booking be changèd back to the original HB. This was going to cost me an extra £200 for the alteration. How does an alteration from HB to B...B produce a refund of £30, yet to revert back it incurs a penalty of £200. Nice little earner for the hotel, yet it cost my wife and I an extra £300 on top of the holiday cost, due to having to eat out every night. On top of that, my wife is disabled, which is the reason we opted for HB in the first place.
Most definitely will not be using Loveholidays again in the near futureHoliday
After deciding to book an extra week i changed my flights as per "manage my booking" but was then told i can't change my hotel transfer so they would still come to hotel for nothing and not when i was actually leaving and that i can't extend my airport carpark stay (which i don't believe) so will have to book it all again! Price was reasonable but service atrocious as "Sandy bot" is as much use as a chocolate fireguard and over half an hour to get through on phone if you are lucky. Shame but wouldn't recommend or use again.
All inclusive package to Dominican Republic
Just had the Loveholidays experience . Before you use them read this:
...Holiday
We booked a £4000 holiday to Cuba on the 28th of December, all inclusive for March 2023.
After paying the full amount, only by chance we were made aware that we may have to pay an additional £300 for US Visas because our flights change in Miami (we aren't even leaving the airport).
I contacted Love Holidays via their live chat (which by the way is the only way to contact them).
A very obnoxious agent called Banele told me that they cannot give any details as to travel requirements and I needed to check online.
I then asked to cancel the holiday and was informed that I would only receive a refund of £1867.87 of the £4000 we have paid.
We are also unable to speak to anyone on the telephone as it is more than 4 weeks until our holiday.
Starting small claims claim today for the full amount.
Absolutely shocking behaviour and Love Holidays you should be ashamed of your customer service.Package holiday
Worst travel company I have ever come across... I have had a very dark and depressing few years, with a lot of family stresses including health being a real negative factor. With my mum. Fighting cancer, going through chemo and my dad battling diabetes, having both his legs chopped off. I booked a holiday in April with love holidays and in August they went and cancelled the whole holiday. I contacted them and said why did you do this? They said they are sorry and that I should use the website and book it again?? I went online and I saw the holiday but it was £1200 more expensive and the luxury swim up room was no longer available. I had booked individually with my 5 of my friends and I was the instigater for the holiday but I got done bad. They said they can not do anything else for me. Not even offer me a discount. But then could book me a standard room in the hotel at a more expensive rate than I paid for the swim up.
I explained my concerns above and how the holiday is needed for my mental well being and it was ignored. I am gutted I have booked multiple holidays with them. I would never use them again even if I had to. I would not recommend them to anyone. Now I know that sometimes it's the individual who ruins a companies reputation but in this case its a collective experience from multiple agents that has ruined my whole year and sent me back to my dark days.... I Hope they use this particular experience and better them selves. Its not nice feeling the way I am because of a company that's supposed to make you love holidays!Package holiday to Malta
DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM LOVE HOLIDAYS, IT TOOK 5 HOURS TO TRY TO GET A RESPONSE FROM THEIR SO CALLED 'CUSTOMER SERVICE', NO-ONE AVAILABLE IN THEIR CHAT SERVICE, THEIR IN-RESORT TEAM TAKE A HOUR TO ANSWER THEN THE ANSWER IS NO, WE CAN'T HELP YOU, CALL SOMEONE ELSE, TRY OUR CHAT SERVICE ETC ETC. IF YOUR HOLIDAY PLANS CHANGE DON'T BOTHER GETTING THEM TO HELP! I SO WISH I HAD NEVER PAID THE FINAL PAYMENT AS THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. LOVE HOLIDAYS HAVE HAD THEIR ABTA MEMBERSHIP REMOVED AND THAT SAYS IT ALL.
Ryanair holidaya
First of all, I wasa looking for Ryanair Holidays, went to Ryanair Holiday web site, booked the flight then it went onto LOVE HOLIDAYS!!!! I thought this strange at the time, but went ahead and booked the holiday and paid it monthly. Went to check in with Ryanair and could not as had to do ... recognition which we tried about 11 times. Rang up Ryanair, and they booked me in with a free check in both ways. Also rang LOVE HOLIDAYS and they said it was nothing to do with Ryanair Air, even though they had advertised the holiday as Ryanair Holidays.s My daughter has also had trouble with love holidays, their whizz air flight was cancelled and could not get one so had to add a days holiday on, they had to pay 160 extra and again love holidays did NOT help. What is the point of having a travel agent if they do not help.
Package holiday
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK WITH LOVE HOLIDAYS. Worst holiday of our lives, tried everything to get them to move us or help us racking up a big phone bill to do this and they didn't bother coming back to us. Since coming home we've requested a full refund and it's got worse and worse. First of all they wouldn't come back to us, then when we finally got an answer after having to contact someone on LinkedIn, they told us we couldn't have a refund as we didn't try and sort it out while we were there. - They have phone logs of us calling them on a number of occasions so they are actually lying!
Now taking legal action. Please avoid at all costs! You should log into manage my booking and select post travel query. Fill that out and let them know what your issues were. They can take a while to investigate although they will reach out to you.
